Beijing, China
Posted on October 7, 2011
Below are some of the images taken from my trip to Beijing, China. I was sent there for my job at the time, and turned it into a vacation with my husband. My only recommendation is NOT to visit in July (It’s smoggy, super hot, and crowded). Horrible weather aside, it really was a once is a life time trip.

Berlin
Posted on May 7, 2011
This past March, I was lucky enough to be sent to Berlin, Germany by my work. It was a very busy week with lots of meetings. But, I was able to have some time off on the first day to explore the city with my co-worker Carolyn (seen in some of the photos below). Even in the rain, we were able to visit some interesting parts of the city.
A special thanks to Carolyn for helping to shield my camera from the rain.

A quick photograph shot from within one of the hotel meeting rooms in between sessions.

Graffiti from parts of the Berlin wall photographed with my iPhone. Not sure what the writing says, so I apologize if I have posted any German profanity.

Casey & Joni’s Wedding
Posted on March 20, 2011
Sometimes I forget how much I love photographing people. When you work a full time job, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind. So, when my friends Casey and Joni asked me to take their wedding photos, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to do something I love for a lovable couple.

Casey & Joni

I’ve been friends with Casey since I was a sophomore in high school. We we grew up together, and have shared some very funny moments. Life changes when high school is over, and it had been a good 8 years or so since we had last seen each other. So, it has been such a pleasure to reconnect with him and become friends with Joni.
For their engagement session, we decided to head out around the pearl district in downtown Portland. Photographing them was easy. You can tell from the photos that they are such a funny, kind, and genuine couple.

Just wanted to post some of the photos from eRok & Mayo ‘s “The Fast Lane” album cover shoot. These guys are very talented local Portland R&B / Hip-Hop artists. You can check out their music at www.erokmusic.com

A fun night shot on the Hawthorne bridge. It’s kind of a haunting image, but I love how the lights turned out.

And finally….here is the finished single cover.

Mark & Vicky’s Courthouse Wedding
Posted on October 29, 2010
I had the pleasure of photographing Mark & Vicky’s courthouse wedding this past August in Laguna Hills, CA. It’s nice to witness such an simple wedding just focusing on the love and happiness between them. I know as a past bride, we tend to get caught up in the “production” of your wedding day, and it was to be a part of something different.

Julie Ann & Robb

When Julie Ann had asked me if I had anything special in mind for their photo session I quickly suggested “Mad Men.” It’s one of my favorite TV shows, and if anyone could pull off the 60′s look it was Julie Ann & Robb. I was lucky to have asked the right couple, because with Julie Ann’s fashion designer eye and their amazing closets, my mad vision came to life. Thanks again guys for your help and inspiration!

Portland, Or

My husband and I visited Portland back in June on a quest to find our new home. We reconnected with an old friend from high school and his lovely fiance, who was kind enough to show us around. It’s such a beautiful city with a very down to earth vibe. We both loved it so much that we’ve decided to move there. Come October 4th we’ll be calling Portland our new home.

The happy couple! Thanks again guys for showing us around.
We stopped by Deschutes Brewery for their 22nd birthday party. Oh…to be 22 again!

Lauren & Michael
Posted on August 7, 2010
I was very excited to shoot my friend Lauren’s engagement session in Long Beach, CA. It’s always nice to spend time in the good ol’ lbc since I lived there for six years. Lauren and Michael where great sports as we drove around the city looking for fun places to shoot. We even spent some time playing around in Michael’s Dad’s backyard. Congrats again!

This one was just for fun. I wonder what Michael is praying for?
